After a rainy day of exploring the lower portion of the falls, we headed to the town of Igauzu for dinner at Aqva. Matt had been emailing with the owner, Jorge, for the better part of a week trying to get us a reservation. We made great friends with Jorge and our waiter Claudio (in the apron). We started with a delish avocado, tomato and hearts of palm (which we’ll* never eat again after our safari thru the jungle where we learned it requires “hunters” to take down the entire palm tree for) salad, Bec went with yet another piece of red meat, Matt gave his intestines a break and tried three of the local river fish.
*I’ve just been notified Matt will indeed keep on eating heart of palm.
